The iconic Waldorf Astoria New York has finally opened. After eight years of closure and three years of renovation, this world-famous Manhattan skyscraper has been renovated with an exceptional conservation project designed by SOM. One part of the building is dedicated to serviced apartments and another to the Hilton hotel. The hotel's interiors were conceived by the Chicago office of PY Rochon Design, and in each of the 400 guest rooms features a Gatsby lamp in polished chrome or polished gold. The original lamp was slightly modified to make a perfect match for the project.
